A mother to many at age 21.
Today, I saw the hands and feet of Jesus in the work of a 21 year old Christian who works for an organization that combats the trafficking of children. As we played games with homeless children, this girl played the role of mother to several children. She cleaned up wounds on their feet. She trimmed finger and toe nails. She fixed scrapes and scratches for those who have no mother to do it. She wasn’t done though. She proceeded to tell the children about Jesus through Bible stories and song. Her final act was to hand out food and drinks to these children. She met all of their needs today. She met their physical and nourishment needs, and then met their emotional and spiritual needs, just like Jesus would have done. Today, I saw Jesus work through a faithful 21 year old like i’ve never seen before.
