Boys will be boys – even in Cambodia. They are full of energy and laughter. I found this out while working with 20 boys for an organization's VBS. Sarah and I were introduced to the group of rambunctious boys – and they were thrilled to have us join them. I was filled with joy watching them play and praise the Lord in song. Being there praying with the innocent chidlren makes you forget what some of them have been through.

After the boys settled down, it was time for the lesson. I am sure Sarah and I sat between the two boys with the shortest attention span. It was really funny to watch them be distracted by a tiny, toy bicycle.

Next was craft time. They made masks to be like superheroes. We were each given a group to work with. I helped one little boy color and decorate his.

At the end of craft time, I was handed my own mask by a 10-year-old boy. He decorated it for me and everything! I was so touched by this I can hardly explain. The love these boys show to one another, but also to someone they just met. I feel truly blessed to have met and spent time with them. I will never forget their faces.

"Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. THey will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate." Proverbs 127:3-5
