Hearing the countless number of stories of lost loved ones, loss of the ability to walk, to write, to learn, and complete deprivation of any freedom, for sure breaks my heart. Seeing endless number of children, women, and men who have been severely abused brings tears to my eyes. But, despite the all of this evil, seeing the new beginnings, laughter, joy, smiles, and praises, brings me hope. No, I don’t understand why there’s so much evil, suffering, and pain to those who are innocent and don’t deserve this.  As long as I live on this earth I don’t think I will ever be able to comprehend or fully grasp and explain what I feel and see when I open my eyes, ears, and heart. But, I am so thankful to meet such amazing and beautiful people, from all over the world, who are making incredible changes that will last for eternity.
