This is my second mission trip to both Thailand and Cambodia with Adventures in Missions. With doing short term missions, I can get discouraging remarks such as, “what difference can you make in a short amount of time.” or “you don’t have follow up, so there isn’t any lasting impact.”

During these past two weeks in these two countries I now can share how important and impactful short term missions can be. In both countries people that I met years ago embraced me and said that they remembered. Coming again really blessed them by showing them that I care enough to return. In addition, it showed me that een the simplest of interactions can leave an impression and imprint on a person’s life.

Short term missions are making a difference. They help mold, heal and grow the missionary. They also make small to grand differences in the people, community and country that they pour themselves into. When I return to the states, that will be one of my big messages and encouragements. That no matter how insignificant you may think your time and investment is, if God has the interest, it will grow into more than we can imagine.
